Fucking CRAZY if you ask me....

What is the "prize".....10 - 20 million YEN

In other words only about $130,000 - $260,000!!!

FUCK NO!

My life is worth a lot more than $130,000

Call me a coward, but I wouldn't cross the bridge if they offered me one billion dollars. I can't put a dollar amount on my life.

Thats pretty fucked up. Im afraid of heights but if there was a safety net I might do it, but like I said in an earlier episode discussion only for 20 million dollars, not yen.

Im really lovin the psychological aspect of this show. Especially Kaiji's struggle debating if he should push or not. It makes me think would I actually push someone? Who knows? I certainly dont. I would like to believe I wouldnt but 20 million dollars is a lot of money. Another good part was when Tonegawa was explaining how long takes and how hard it is to acquire 20 million yen. I already knew this, but just hearing it out of someone else's mouth really hit home.

I loved the monologues, and the message was sent but the game was not so much. It's flawed and not believable. What's the point of winning the golden ticket in the first game? Also, the next game's not worth the risk, any sane man would back off and there's no guarantee you'll get the money even if you make it to the other side.

I rather cross this high one than the low one. I would fall for 3 or more seconds and die instantly. I rather die than live a crippled life.

Wow, that's not even sadism anymore. That's just pure evil. I just hope someone goes crazy and push him down the building. On the other hand, he's such a sweet vilain.

Kaiji left one possiblity open, and it will probably cost the life of some of them. Sure, it isn't a competition anymore. That doesn't mean that they don't get anything by acting against each other. Their are convertible. If someone was to get them all, he'd win the ultimate jackpot. Is someone in that group willing to kill someone else for a massive amount of money? That's what I'm wondering...

There's just something about the villains in this series that makes me hate them to death.
Sure, they don't have insane over the top cringe faces like Akame ga Kill.
Sure, they don't torture and commit genocide on a whim.
Sure, they don't laugh like maniacs.
But the way they take advantage of how desperate people are, the way they put money above humans...it just feels, how do I put it, real.

The music that played during Kaiji's monologue about how cruel the world works was just beautiful. The OST has a certain somber Death Note kind of feel which I like~

How he didn't want to push the person in front of him even if everything else he considered beforehand led to the need of pushing him off the beam because of his strong will is admiring. Pushing a baby of a cliff lol

Getting 20million ain't that easy after all. What they presented was just overkill wtf. 22 stories to plummet to your death and one final shock (a fucking terrifying one too) to push you off the edge in case you lose your balance for at least a bit. If any of them suddenly felt the need to push someone off because of the time constraints or any reason for all I care, I'll be damned *gulp*

i don't know why i don't like sahara... but i don't like him. yukio was in all honesty, pretty encouraging when he gave his speech. it *is* a lot of money and they are given the chance to get it without going through years of hard work. i feel like this arc isn't as good as the janken arc, yes the stakes are of course heightened and there's people getting legitimately injured or dying. however it is simply a bridge... i'm not trying to say that it's a weak challenge. i was hoping for gambling though games though, like say poker.

Yeah, some of them have huge debts, but lol, personally I wouldn't do this, not even for 100mio.

About the episode itself, I loved it. These twists bringing even more despair are great.

The electric bridge doesn't work out.
At the beginning, the blacksuit who touched it with the steel rod should have been electrocuted as the electricity would have passed through the rod and through his body into the ground (he was grounded).
Standing on the bridge and touching would not electrocute you as the voltage potential is the same across the entire beam (assuming negligible resistance) and the electricity would have no reason to pass through a high resistance human instead of a low resistance metal beam.
I am a physics student and this bugs me more than it should.

Whoa...this arc has given a lot of suspense so far. And it's also way more shocking than the janken card game because the stakes here are certain death rather than a possible death at a labor camp.

I like how it makes you question what you would do in that situation, too. Is it really worth it to kill/seriously injure someone just to clear your debt or gain wealth? I can understand survival instinct but it's not like Kaiji is dirt poor. I can see the allure, though. He's still in a dire financial situation and because of that, he can't move on with his life. And no, I'm not a religious person but this brings to mind a quote from the Bible, "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his soul?"

This is what I expected the first walk to be. So when I saw it wasnt a huge fall I was surprised. But surely they're bringing out the real challenge now. We know Kaiji will survive it at least but Im curious to see who dies, cause there definitely will be people that die.

This will be interesting though cause of the electricution element which stops them from hanging on.

Hoh the stakes are higher than ever. Certain death, but a decent reward.
I wonder how many people in real life would accept this challenge for 10-20 million $

Look I get the stakes are high but it feels like something is not adding up. What are these people suppose to do with the people that die (regarding their debt) I know this is just a silly thing to increase the pressure for the characters and us viewers but yea when I look at this situation for it’s technicalities, it’s something worth questioning, even if they are rich bastards.

Im surprised I saw no one talk about this unless I missed someone but yea I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Kaiji without being nitpicky on some questionable things till this point.
