    Mr. Lock Noob, you have quite the impeccable knack for producing an audible “click” when once you’ve got those wafers set to the shear line!

    I used to have a 1996 ford taurus, and one day i locked my keys inside. I was learning how to pick door locks, so i thought id try the wafer lock. I put a tension tool in, and tried my homemade rake, and the electronic doors opened instantly. I thought i got lucky, but when i tried it again, i got the same result.
    Long story short, it worked everytime, and you can easily get into a ford taurus, 1996, with a wire of any material that fits inside it.
    Theres a major electronic flaw i never followed through on researching, but you can exploit it with basically anything metal that fits in the keyway.

    Great content. Like how fast you are at that. Just so that you are aware, the first cyl you opened is a Dodge/Chrysler cyl. And its a "pin" tumbler. Second cyl is a replacement Datsun/Nissan cyl. Keep up the great work. (I'm an automotive Locksmith for over 30 year)

    I really like that one it works great on old ford locks where the slides are wore out and you're trying of replace the ignition cylinder because you're tool will gets stuck in there whenever you pull your ignition out 3:28

    I keep a set in the car. When I see someone ( about three times ) with an older vehicle having problems and attempting the coat hanger, I give them a quick lesson on how to do it and they are very happy. Obviously I make sure it is genuine as I can see the keys in the car and they have all been older people who I do not suspect of trying to steal an old car :)

    A good way to make your own split tension wrench for wafer locks, and car locks, is to take a 3/16 allen key, and on tthe bent end, cut it down the middle with a thin dremel blade.
    Then you can heat it up and bend both sides of tbe cut apart at the shaft, then heat up just below the 90 degree bend to make two split, straight forks. Use a bench grinder to trim and smooth to the size you require.
    Youre welcome.

    Speaking from experience, some wafer locks in older vehicles are about as secure as a Harbor Freight storage cabinets where you can pick them with the back of a normal hook...

  • @adamwest8711
    @adamwest8711 7 месяцев назад +9

    Those double sided y wrenches are pretty useless…until you need one and then they’re amazing. If you don’t have one, £10 with some disposable jigglers is just fine I think. It’s a shame it doesn’t have the smaller version some of these kits also come with. And no. Those manufacturers are absolutely not ok with their logos being used 😂

    The slipt on the middle is so you can put the turning tool in the gap :) being in the middle of the lock, you have more turning force

    I have a similar Daniu set (dont remember if it was from AliExpress or Temu or BangGood...) hard green hinged case, no jigglers or flag hook and black handles but the split wafer picks look identical and one is as fast as the correct key for an old Junkunc Brothers/American Lock #50 "military style" padlock I have (brass key-retaining padlock with attached chain - the type often used with military foot lockers...)
